Has anyone ran into this issue after updating to SMS 2003 service pack2. A
while back I installed service pack 2 option to get better results from my
SMS server. Although this works a lot better than before the update I
cannot
get the web reporting to work. I have checked the SMS console security
rights
and nothing looks as though it has changed. I have also looked at the
reporting point and this too is correct. I am a member of the domain
admins
and I still cannot get the web reporting to show; what I get from the
webpage
is "You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the
credentials you supplied" I wonder if the issue could result from IIS but
I
am at a loss until someone can shed some light on the issue.
It sounds like it could be a couple of things:
- check your IIS settings, perhaps you are no longer allowing anonymous
connections
- a DCOM permissions issue on your reporting point. The symptoms are similar
to updating your server to Windows Server 2003 SP1... see the following
link, particularly the part about adjusting the reporting point DCOM
permissions.:
