Dell Inventory Tool will not install.

I'm trying to install the dell inventory tool and it fails when doing a sync
then rollsback everytime.

I've downloaded all the components- catalog, bunddleapp, invcol and pre-req
and also scantoolsupdate and put them in the specified directories.

It fails whether i specify a local location or download from web.

From the itdusync.log:
from local dir

When i try and install the updates from the local dir, it appears to add
another backslash for some reason. It's driving me mad cos it rollsback
everytime and never installs.
Can anyone give me any pointers?

Thanks
