I did the same event as Debbie.
Could you please advise the detail since I have been deployed SP2 on SMS
Server yet!

In my situation, could I extend the schema & then re-deploy SP2? Or
uninstall the SP2 1st? Please kindly advise, thanks!

Actually I do get Active Directory System Discovery but not Active

Security Group Discovery. The reboot didn't work. It only happened when

installed SP2. Any other suggestions?

Try restarting the mmc console to see if that helps you get back these
missing icons..

Hi,

We are in the process of using SMS 2003. This is a brand new
Microsoft
envorment. I installed SMS 2003 SP1 and then upgraded to SP2. SQL
2000
is
running on another server. We are using Active Directory. Everything
seems
to work. I can see reports, discover clients, and push out software.
But
what concerns me is under, "Discovery Methods" I get a blank object.
So
the
list looks like this:
<ComputerIcon> Windows User Account Discovery
<ComputerIcon> Windows User Group Discovery
<ComputerIcon> Heartbeat Discovery
<ComputerIcon> Network Discovery
<ComputerIcon> Active Directory User Discovery
<ComputerIcon>
<ComputerIcon> Active Directory System Group Discovery

Does anyone know why I get this blank object?
