Re: In SMS_INVENTORY_DATA_LOADER I have message 2721

Can you post your MOF file? There is obviously something wrong with it.

Check the mofcomp log file %windir%\system32\wbem\Logs\mofcomp.log.

That should give you a clue as to what is failing to compile. You have
most likely edited the sms_def.mof file and introduced invalid syntax,
undefined identifiers, etc., that is causing the compile to fail.

Another common failure is that you have trying to create instances for
classes that do not exist. Perhaps you expect these classes to exist on
the client, but they don't exist on the site.

Greetings All, I am hoping you can help me.

I upgrade my SMS 2003 Server to SP2, and now I have some errors in the
Site Status, and I don't know what to do. Here they are:

In SMS_INVENTORY_DATA_LOADER I have message 2721 every minute:

SMS Inventory Data Loader failed to compile
F:\SMS\inboxes\clifiles.src\hinv\sms_def.mof. The failing MOF file has
been moved to F:\SMS\data\hinvarchive\sms_def.mof.bad.bak, and the last
successfully compiled version has been restored.

Possible cause: The file has been edited with changes that are not valid
for MOF file syntax.

Solution: Review the last set of changes to the file for adherence to
MOF file syntax.

What does this mean and how I can repair it?

Thanks in advance for your help
