Hi, Kim,
Actually, I we started using the AD discovery with boundaries by AD Site
name...but since no one is currently maintaining the AD as far as the
computer list in the domain, we get all systems in the list even if that
system has been gone for a while already...so, at the moment, we kinda switch
to using IP Subnets...(and occasionally combining in a container level).
Also, since the secondary site in subject is in a different domain (per my
previuos readings) it was mentioned to not use the AD Discovery for the
different domain but use the Windows...Would that be correct or was I mislead?
For us to be able to discover the systems in the other domain (which has
their own AD...but not in configured to be in the same forest), what would be
the best way to proceed to achieve such task (either by IP Subnets or the
other AD Site snames)?
Trust relationship (as far as I know) is set so that DOM2 trust DOM1.
Thank you so very much
:-) Newbie

Hi,
I was wondering if you would be so kind to assist me on this one...
I am having a problem discovering the clients on a diffrent domain (DOM2)
which I have configured with a secondary site server.
If I use the IP subnet, I cannot discover any system at all...
If I use DOM2's Ad Site name, I am only able to discover a few.
We checked all the settings in the server and clients and nothing unusual.
Would you by any chance have a suggestion for successful discovery of my
secondary client systems (either by IP Subnet or site name)?
Thanks in advance for your help
:-) Newbie

Go to sms; site settings; client installation methods; client push
installation.
On the accounts tab, add 2 accounts one that has admin permissions to
all
machines in domain 1 & one with admin permissions in domain 2

What installation method do you use?
Configure the client push installation method using a client push
installation account that has admin permissions on the clients.
