Hi Jimmy,
Let me first stress that I have never created a load balanced MP, but I
understand that as a availabilty feature rather than a performance feature.
If you are looking to take some load of your SMS server I would start by
moving the DP to a different server. Next you might want to move the MP to a
different server. Also consider your disk partition strategy: having the SQL
database and the inboxes on the same physical drive can impact performance.
