I'm glad you actually figured a work around out, however it isn't the
best (as I'm sure you noticed). There is a better way to do this on the
server side.
If you look in the SMS 2003 Database after installing the DMFP you will
notice two tables with FQDN as part of their name. These tables are used to
map the NetBIOS name of DPs to the FQDN name. I don't have a SMS 2003 site I
can check the names on, but it will be obvious if you look there are two
fields in the table and you can edit them throught the SQL enterprise
manager.
