Hi,
Thank you for posting.
This is Lee and I am glad to meet you in the newsgroup.
Based on the error message that you had provided, it appears the issue is
CCM_System folder cannot be created in the IIS, so MP cannot be installed
correctly on the computer. To this issue, I recommend you try the following
steps to check the issue on the computer:
1.Verify the default domain controller policy on the Windows 2003 DC.
Go to "Computer Configuration" => "windows settings" => Security settings
=> Local policies => User rights assighment
verify the "log on locally" make sure the IUSER_computername exist.
Verify the "log on as batch job" and IWAM_computername and
IUSER_computername accounts exist
Verify the "deny logon locally" and "deny log on as batch job" make sure
they are not disabled.
Also please make sure these two account had not been locked on the DC.
2. Also please make sure the following services are installed, set to
startup automatic, enabled and running:
-BITS
-Distributed Transaction Coordinator
-IIS Admin Service
-Task Scheduler
-WWW Publishing Service
Then please reinstall MP and check the issue again.
If the issue persists on the computer, this should be an issue with IIS, I
recommend you to reinstall the IIS as the following steps:
-Remove the Management point Site Database | SiteCode | Site Settings |
Double-click the Site server, select the Management point tab, then uncheck
the box.
-Via Add/remove programs | Windows Components, remove IIS completely
-Verify that the IUSR_ServerName and IWAM_ServerName local accounts are
removed. If not, remove them manually
-Reboot the server
-Run CCMDelCert from the SMS Resource Kit (Start | All Programs | SMS 2003
Toolkit 1 | Tools command prompt | type ccmdelcert.exe)
Install IIS with appropriate components (BITS, ASP)
-Enable the Management point and then check the issue again.
Note: CCMDELCERT is included in the SMS Toolkit and you can get it from the
following URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/smserver/downloads/2003/tools/toolkit.asp
If the problem still exists, please provide me the following information
files to check the issue further:
1. Send me the MPMSI and MPSetup log file located in the SMS\logs folder.
2. Refer to the following URL:
818742 Overview of the Microsoft Configuration Capture Utility
(MPS_REPORTS)
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=818742
Run the alliance edition of MPS_Report tool on the server and send me the
log files it had generated.
(send to leelili@xxxxxxxxxxxxx)
Please keep me posted on how things go. Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Lee Li
