Check out "Appendix C: SMS Accounts, Groups, and Passwords" from "Scenarios
and Procedures for Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003: Security"
located at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sms/sms2003/security/spsecsms03/spsec_8.mspx#EIAA.
Look at the "Standard Security Accounts" section. You will see the SMS
Service account listed there as well as information on how to manage that
account.
You state below that you are running your site in Advanced Security mode.
You will read in this document that the SMS Service account is only required
in Standard Security in SMS 2003 and not needed if you are running Advanced
Security in your hierarchy. I recommend that you read through the
"Scenarios and Procedures for Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003:
Security" document for a better understanding of the differences between
Standard and Advanced Security...particularly the "Managing SMS Accounts"
section for the SMS Service Account.
I hope this helps!
