reporting - how?

I have SMS2003 SP1 running on w2k3 member server.
I'd like to set up some reports which will show differences in hardware
configs during last week, month, stuff like this. Or, create a report which
will show only PCs on which during last week some new software was
installed.
Also, is it possible somehow to create specific reports during off-hours and
save or mail them? What kind of software could do such a things?
Please write some suggestions..
Thanks,
