Havn't experienced that problem with XP SP2. However, the Active Directory
Discovery Methods only connect to Active Directory domain controllers to
retrieve information about computers, it does not connect directly to the
SMS client. If they are not discovered at all using Active Discovery methods
you may start by using SMS Trace in the SMS Toolkit 2 and look into the log
files \sms\logs\adsysdis.log and adsysgrp.log.
One thing that is known with XP SP2 is that you must remember to create a
firewall exception for SMS (if you use the Windows Firewall). Also check the
