I'm wondering how SMS 2003 accesses a package's source directory when running in Advanced Security. If the SMS service runs in the system account context, how can it reach a file share on a server that does not have a site role? I'm asking because we are having a problem using a clustered server as a package source. When we use the logical server name, SMS cannot reach the share. If we change the source to the current physical server, it works. We can't leave it this way though because the cluster fails over on a semi-regular basis.
