What do you mean by systems getting SMS directories? Which directories and
are this clients or servers?
Here are a couple of thoughts if they are clients:
- Check %SystemRoot%\ms\sms\logs and check if there are any wn*.log files.
WNREMOTE.log=Remotely installed client
WNLOGON.log=Logon script installed client
WNMANUAL.log=Manually installed client
If you look in one of these log files you might find some info about the
server/serverpath they were initated from.
- Check HKLM\Software\Microsoft\NAL\Client\AbExprtDB\CAP List for Site XXX
(replace XXX with any letters you find in this key). If you look at the
MSWNET value you will see which CAP (ie. share) the client is using for
communication to the SMS server.
