Hi Ragnar,

I feel your pain. I had to create a package to install the Oracle 8.17
client. I finally gave up trying to package using the oracle
installer. In the end the way I got it working was to do a snapshot
before and after and package it that way.

Two other things I ran into - Oracle setup wouldn't run unless it was
from a mapped drive, and I had to change the Oracle odbc entries in
the registry, because Oracle doesn't install in the proper location.

I don't know if things have improved in the newer Oracle releases, but
it was almost like they were going out of their way to be incompatible
with MS.
