That seemed to work. I also had to reboot after adding the DCOM perms.
It's very strange that I had to modify the settings at all since the
firewall was off. Comparing XP SP1 and XP SP2 DCOM settings, it seems that
SP 2 added the Anonymous Logon entry.
Now, I just need to figure out a way to automate this process. I know I can
modify the firewall using netsh, but is there a way to "script-o-maticly"
modify the DCOM perms?
Thanks,
Mike McGuire

Console on it and I installed Windows XP SP2 (the released version - not
beta) on it today. I have known that the two don't play well together, and
I was hoping that the two hotfixes (832862 and 832860) might fix this. I
tried to install the two Post SP2 hotfixes (832862 and 832860), but they
both give me this error message:

not show any of the collections, packages, queries, etc... This is a test
system, so I'm not dead in the water, but we can't have our admins
installing XP SP2 unless these are fixed.
