Hello,
The short story is that I came across an install from hell that I ended up
having to write a script for to get it installed silently. So I setup the
package and the advertisement and pushed the install out with success. The
only problem is that becaue of the script it did not neccesarily
successfully complete. A manual audit shows that even though the
advertisement shows as successful it did not neccesarily install correctly.
It should also be said that this is an upgrade so technically the end user
has an old version and a new version of this app installed, which is good
since it's a client/server app and the server side isn't being upgraded
until Saturday.
Now I would like to write a query to show me which machines are not
successfully installed. What I'm trying to do is create a query that says
show me all of the Add/Remove Programs with the old Display Name only if the
new Display Name isn't present.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thank You! Thank You!
BTW, does anyone have any suggestions on some WQL resources?
