I guess I'm not understanding what you are trying to accomplish. Below you
state:

"For example, I rename the SMS 2003 database file or I rename the site
 inboxes folder, then, when I try to restore any of the mentioned
components I receive an error saying that the folder can't be found."

Your goal = You are trying to perform a restore of a failed site.

Please list the exact steps you are doing to accomplish this.
