Hi Terry,
You may also refer to the following link to find more information of the
SMS perfmon counters:
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/sms/2/all/reskit/en-us/part
9/smc27.mspx
Average Bytes/sec
The average throughput of the sender (either to all sites or to the
specified site).
Current Bytes being Sent
The current number of bytes that all sending threads are attempting to
write, either to all sites or to the specified site.
Sending Thread Count
The number of threads currently sending to a destination. If the instance
is _Total, this count is the total number of sending sessions targeted at
all sites. If the instance is a specific site, this count is the number of
sending threads sending to that specific site.
Total Bytes Attempted
The total number of bytes this sender has attempted to send since it began
running. When a sending block error occurs and it is necessary to resend
the block, both the failed and successful bytes are counted. Therefore,
this count represents the total number of bytes consuming network bandwidth
that this sender has been responsible for. When this counter is associated
with a specific site instance, only the bytes sent to that site are counted.
Total Bytes Failed
The total number of bytes this sender failed to send, to either all sites
or the specified site, since it began execution. This failure indicates
that during the transfer of a block of data, the sender determined that the
block did not arrive successfully at the destination site. The sender will
retry sending that block.
Total Bytes Sent
The total number of bytes this sender successfully sent, either to all
sites or to the specified site, since it began execution.
Hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Jack Wang, MCSE 2000, MCSA, MCDBA, MCSD
