Remote Roaming boundaries

What has been everyones experience with the download and Execute
functioanlity over the WAN? We have been looking at removing some of
the secondary sites in hopes for server consolidation, however when
the clients hit with download and execute the WAN is flooded. Is
there a "Magic" number you have experienced in your sites that require
a secondary site with DP and MP installed? What happens if you
declare the site to be in the Reomot roaming boundary will the client
throttle the download better? Or does it download with all available
bandwith?
