Yeah, I figured out where the miscommunication was. He stated to me:
"The only "problem" with doing an expedited scan is that it does a FULL
inventory and is meant / documented for lab environments only"
...and usually when someone says 'Full inventory' it means a full inventory
rather than normal HINV cycle which sends a delta MIF back to SMS, not an
entire cycle which would definitely be something that you didn't want. The
miscommunication was when he said to me "Full Inventory' which is different
than "Full Hardware Inventory Cycle" which is what the documentation says.
