We just configured the first primary site for our organization going tru the
setup we were prompted to extend the schema or not? we chose no at that
time -

My question is is it really necessary to extend the schema / or is this
optional?
What are the advantages and disavantages? - We have many different divisions
in our organization - but we all share the same windows 2000 domain - we are
the only division with SMS and chose not to extend the schema as to how that
may affect the overall active directory environment

Any input will be appreciated.
