Patch Management with SMS 2003 & Win 9x, NT4, 2K, XP & 2K3

I am in search of solutions for patch management at my
company which is a windows 2000 domain of Windows 98SE on
up. I've searched Microsofts website and seen that SMS is
able to do patch management for these Windows versions but
can't find any other resources about it.

I will need to confirm this before my dept sends me to
take classes.

Any websites that can give more information about this
would be appreciated.
