We are currently running SMS 2.0 SP5. Everything has
been running fine until a few weeks ago. We recently
started rolling out computers with Windows XP SP1, and
with the roll-out we have had some problems with the SMS
clients on a few XP boxes. We verify via the control
panel it exist -- but when your looking at the properties
of the client there are NO update options nor components.
So, we've tried the 20clicln.bat, which removed it, in
turn, we ran the smsman to install -- result NADA (i.e.,
we can still see the properties but with NO update option
nor components)! We tried the /scrub switch with
the .bat -- again running the smsman -- again NADA,
except for the above result.
I've looked all over the forum and Microsoft's knowledge
base for this type of error and I havn't found anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
