Couple of questions.

1. How did you install the advanced client on to the target machines. If you
did a push, did you have SMSSITECODE=AUTO as a advanced client command line
property. This is there by default. So, if you haven't changed it, it will
be present.
2. Could you check the LocationServices.log and ClientLocation.log of the
machines which are failing the site assignment and reason so. Could you
attach these logs?
