Just do exactly what the article says. No need to replace the key...another will be created.

If you feel the need to back up a registry key...
select the key and go to...File / Export. This
creates a .reg file that will restore the key if you double left click it.

To see the contents of a .reg file..just copy/
paste it into Windows Notepad.
