If we go straight to Outlook after saving fileB, and manually attach fileB then the correct version of the file is sent. So there is a work around.

Again I hope this all is understandable and if someone knows of a fix or an update that is available I hope they can add some insight.
I don't know of any fix or update yet. Personally I don't understand having the File > Send as attachment button there anyway; if I want to send an attachment I'll do it myself in my email program - there's less chance for errors.
