There are many free PDF converters around,
This is one
http://www.primopdf.com/
Publisher has a commercial printer driver.
Install the Generic Color PS for Commercial Printing printer driver

Roy,
PDF is the solution. The quality will be as the Publisher file and much
smaller. If you were to create color separations for commercial printers,
you normally use PDF files bacause of their accuracy.

Thanks for the quick reply.Enlarging the text box is not an easy option as
there are other boxes below on the page(s). I have tried your suggestion
re
'autofix text' but the option appears not be available to me as the text
is
in columns.
With regard to PDF conversion.
The object of printing on remote printer is to get the best copy print out
ready for multi copying on a printer. Would converting to a PDF file
enable a
good quality print out to be made?
Many thanks

You could enlarge the text boxes downwards or maybe set the text boxes to
have
no margin on the bottom. You could select the text boxes, format, autofit
text,
check shrink text on overflow.
Have you thought about converting your publication to a PDF?

I have emailed a publication created in Publisher 2003, Version
11.0.7969.0
--for printing. The publication is sent as an attached file. When
printed a
number of the text boxes have text missing at the end of some of the
articles . I realise that by reducing the amount of text it is less
likely
to run off the page but surely there is a more precise way to cope
with
this problem and thereby be able to have control of the finished
printed
article.

I ran into this problem myself. Unfortunately the margins differ with
printers. All you can do is to shorten that email. I ended up testing
various emails with a friend. We were on the phone, which made it
tough
because she still uses dial-up. It took about an hour before we
finally came
up with a solution that we thought would work for most of the
recipients.
