I'd like to be able to post text or photos for download by customers--the
photos would be the product. Eventually, I want to be able to track, for
billing purposes, who downloads a 'product.' How do I do that?
You must REALLY hate your customers, or want your business to fail, if you're
using Publisher to design your site. People with *successful* businesses use
proper tools, or learn to code by hand. Sites designed in Publisher are at
least 50% slower to download than those created in professional web design
applications, such as Dreamweaver or GoLive! and at least twice as slow as
those coded by hand.
I would NEVER revisit a site once I'd learnt it had been designed in
Publisher (and, just by viewing the raw code, it would be blatantly obvious).
They say 'time is money' and it certainly is - you take the time to design
your site properly, you'll reap the rewards of a successful business.
