It is the HP registry fix in the second column, not the tracking fix.
Can you open Publisher okay? Do you get an error when you insert the pictures?
Are you inserting from the Internet?
If you are inserting from the Internet, clear your cache, see if that helps. In
Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options, delete files.
The HP registry fix should help if this just started happening after the Windows
updates.

I am unable to insert pictures in a pulication, have been able to do it for
the past year. Now it locks up on me. I read a couple other posting and
tried what they suggested only it still locks up. I went the
www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and the item 383 is to Disable User
Tracking-Enable User Tracking. Could that possibly be my problem?
