I didn't see a way either, but I wanted to get expert advice on the
subject before I scrapped it altogether.
I author a newsletter that has a front page article that will be
displayed within the eliptical portion of the front page. I can do it
within the default rectangular text display, but had hoped to possibly
conform to the ellipse.
The only other way is, as you suggested, to place the text in the
background image using my graphic editing software. The obvious
drawback to that of course is having to create a new background with
each issue.
You've helped me before, I appreciate your expertise . . .
