Chuckle...it is this sort of thing that keeps humbling me. About the time I think I get some things figured out, poof...confusion reigns.
Hopefully when the site is fixed and sorted out it will work for everybody.

For me the links work in IE6 but do NOT work in IE7 or FF3.

"DavidF" <Nope@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:uuw09qthJHA.1172@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxOk. It appears that the problem I had the last time I looked at your home page in FireFox was not a Master Page issue, but an issue with you not uploading all the files, and specifically the images, to the web server...they actually show up today. I will address your uploading issues in your other message today. Also, I suspect that many of the problems you are describing with the content not being updated has to do with the same thing, or more likely that when you view the pages in question, you are still seeing the old page, and not the new.
So first of all what browser and which version are you using to view your pages? In the browser go to Help and then About IE or FF or whatever the name of the browser, to see the version.
Next, what happens when you go to a page that does not seem to have been updated, and hold down your CTRL key and hit the F5 key? This forces your browser to reload and refresh with the most recent version of the page. It sounds like when you looked at your pages after making changes that your browser just showed you the old one that is in your internet cache on your computer.
When I look at your Contact Page & Maps I do see the "ariel view" link in both IE and FF.
http://www.tomstruckingmn.com/index_files/Page1196.htm (by the way, this is what I meant when I said give us specific links to the specific issues you are talking about. It saves us the time of following your links around trying to find the errors.) I suspect that the reason you don't see the ariel view link is because you looked at an old version of that page. Try the Ctrl + F5 after the page loads. Do you see the ariel view link now? In general do you see your new updated pages?
All your links work just fine in IE7. Assuming that you are using FireFox or some other browser than IE, the reason the links are not working is that all the text has been converted to images, which kills the links. One way to tell is to left click and drag across some of the text and try to select it. You can't because it is an image. Here are a few of the images that are created for FF:
http://www.tomstruckingmn.com/index_files/image740.gif
http://www.tomstruckingmn.com/index_files/image459.gif
I suspect the reason you are getting these images is because you have grouped together those design elements. You seem to be using lines that you have drawn to create your outside border and then grouped those lines with the top banner etc. Select those lines and go to Arrange > Ungroup. Make sure you ungroup everything on your pages except for the navbar and don't group it with any other design element.
Try the refresh page directions I gave you, and the ungroup directions, and post back with your results and remaining issues, along with the browser you are using, and we will go from there. Oh, and by the way always do a Tools > Design checker to see if that finds errors. I forget to mention this...

like Home on every page doesn't work. End dump link on main page still links
to the home page even though it is correct on my publisher document. My
contact page still has the old contacts from wizard. I have new links added
to Contact Page & Maps for "ariel view" which are not showing. About Us,
Contact Us, Side Dump & Belly Dump seem to have a double vision of "A Team
Quality Service" which are not in my original publisher file. Can't think of
anything else but everything I changed on my original upload document is not
changing upon new upload. I have tried using "Publish to Web", upload
directly from GoDaddy & tried using FileZilla but haven't been able to
connect. Like I originally stated I'm a real newbie to this so I don't know
what to do! Thanks so much for all that you guys to do help us out!

Mo,
All the links on the home page seem to be active. Which ones do not
work...please be specific and provide links to the pages where you are
having problems. Help us help you.
The main problem I saw with the home page is that you apparently are putting
your banner and other design elements on a Master Page. Don't. If you go to
View > Master Page and you have any design elements there, you need to move
them back to the main page. Unfortunately you should not use a Master Page
with Publisher webs. It works fine in a print document, but can create
problems in a web. In this case if you look at your homepage in FireFox none
of the graphics load (FF has 22% of the browser market).
A small thing...select and nudge the bar, address material, and the truck
picture down
a bit. The bar is overlapping the text above it.
Otherwise, I really like your site. Though I only looked at a few pages, I
think you have done a really good job
in the design. I like how tight it is... And yes, it will look even better
when you figure out the coding for centering it. The way you have designed
it, centering it will really work well. It is really not that hard, but that
can wait.
Move everything off the Master Page and republish that, and see how many of
your issues go away. But, once again, please post back with specifics about
what links are wrong or not working.
