I am sorry but I can't help you unless you help me. I asked some detailed
questions in my last response, and you didn't answer a single one. Answer
those questions, and you will probably find your answer, or at least help me
understand your situation more clearly. One other point of clarification, it
appears that you saved your home page with the .html file extension vs. the
..htm file extension. That is fine, but when I ask about .htm files, in your
case it would be .html files.

Also review the documentation about how to use FileZilla correctly:

It's possible that you simply did not upload the "index_files" folder to
your host with the most recent files. Remember, you upload the whole folder
intact to the same directory level as your home page...the index.htm or
index.html file.

And finally, go to Tools and run the design checker. The width of your page
suggests that perhaps you do not have all the content on the page and are
overlapping into the scratch area. Eventually when you have figured out the
nuts and bolts of getting your web files uploaded correctly, you should
consider making your page more narrow. Right now it requires horizontal
scrolling which is not a good thing. But first things first. Go back and
study my last response, and answer the questions...and study the
instructions on how to use FileZilla.

I think I am going nuts, but I will summise where I am at - I have checked
and read everything below. I cleared down the files on the site using
Filezila, but have been unable to reload using Filezila

You will see I have renamed the pages to match the navbar on the homepage,
but the other pages are not loading. Am i missing a trick with the index
files?? They just wont seem to load.

I can see them in Filezilla, but not when I try and publish ftp through
publisher.

I think i've gone in so many circles I'm lost - whats the best way of
starting afresh??

I run a preview in publisher and everything runs fine

As ever thoughts much appreciated

published as "Page###.htm".

If the file names for your other pages are custom named..."aboutus.htm"
etc,
then somehow you did not upload them. You obviously do have an
index_files
folder on your host as you are getting the images it contains to load on
your home page. Example:

also appears that for some reason the "aboutus.htm" and other .htm files
are
not within the index_files folder and that is why you are getting the
missing file error.

this is, and you should have your answer. Either you named the files
incorrectly, or you did not upload them.

Perhaps you need to read and study the directions on how to use FileZilla

It is written for Pub 2007, but if you are using IE7 instead of IE6, then
the directions for using Vista would apply. FTP uploading has changed
with
the introduction of IE7.

Once you get that all sorted out, you can add your Christmas page back,
but
this time when you insert it, be sure to include it in the navbar.

I have moved from the general questions section as advised

I have followed the below and it all seemed to make sense. I re linked
the
pages and then deleted the index pages on filezilla and reloaded, but
now

have got my homepage, but none of the other pages appear when loaded.

As well as some advice I'm not necessarily sure my publisher website is
loading in the right place on filezila. I cleaered the index files down

reoaded, but rather than converting it appears publisher is just
sitting
there as a normal publisher file whereas when I use the FTP download
within
publisher I save over the index htm file. when I see this index htm on
filezilla it only appears small in size

I think I must have missed a step somehwhere. It is possible the
website
has
just been played around with too much? If I renamed all the pages and
files
would that help?

I am now rambling and would appreciate any further help

First of all, you do not have the FPSE installed. As per the article I
referenced if you check the link:

FPSE
have not been installed. But since you do not seem to have a form on
your
site, you don't have to use HTTP uploading...you can use FTP, and
FileZilla.
It might be wise when you are ready to upload fresh web files to log on
to
your site and delete the index.htm file and the index_files folder on
your
server. It is possible that your server is set to not allow you to
overwrite
the old files, and that is why you didn't get a complete upload. Your
"Christmas" page has not been uploaded:

As to the navbar and links not being correct, you will need to repair
it
or
rebuild it. I will assume that you are using Pub 2003. Click on the
navbar
on the first page in your Pub file to select it. Then go to Format >
Navigation Bar Properties. In the dialog that comes up, select the link
to
the Christmas page, and remove it, OK out of the dialog and the link
should
be gone from your navbar on the first page. Now go to the Christmas
page,
Tools > Web page Options and confirm that you have the "Add hyperlink
to
new
navigation bars that are added to this publication" checked. Now select
the
navbar again, Format > Nav bar properties. Make sure the checkbox to
update
the navbar is checked at the bottom of the navbar. Then click the Add
link,
and a new dialog pops up. Select the Christmas page, and make sure the
Text
to display field at the top says what you want on the navbar button. Ok
out,
and the navbar should show up on all pages now with the Christmas
navbar
button. If that does not work, then you may need to rebuild the entire
navbar, but try the repair first.

You should be ready to republish now. As I suggested delete the old
index.htm file and index_files folder off the web server before you
upload
the new. That is one of the advantages of using FileZilla. It makes it
easy
to browse the files on the server and manage them.

After this response, please move to the web design group as requested,
so
others that are familiar with using Publisher for webs can assist and
learn.
And this time include the version of Publisher. Good luck.
