| Using Pub 2007, and after creating my website pages, I was able to upload
| them successfully to my host site (GoDaddy). However, when I make a
changes
| to the website, I am trying a different process that worked once, but not
| again.
|
| In my computer I have an FTP folder (ftp.website name.com) inside of which
| are five files: _db_backups; index_files; stats; gdform.asp; index.htm;
and
| welcome.html.
|
| Last night I merely dragged the index_files created when I built my
website
| in Publisher 2007 from a folder on my hard drive to the FTP folder, and
the
| existing website pages were changed were needed. I assumed that the
| index_files in the FTP folder on my computer were replaced by the changed
| index_files from my Publisher file.
|
| Since I mapped the FTP server to drive Z on my PC the user name and
password
| should allow the pages at my website to be modified with the changed or
index
| files --index_files.
|
| It worked once, but never again.
|
| When I drag the changed index_files from my folder on the hard drive,
| titled, HOA wegsite 1.pub, to the FTP folder on my computer, I see a
window
| indicating the the files are being copied, but it goes on and on for
hours.
| Last night I did the same thing, and in 15 minutes, the website pages were
| updated, and changed.
|
| Am I on cloud nine, or is what I did possible?
|
| I hope the definition of my procedure was clear enough to get an answer.
|
| Thanks, Thomboy
