Re: publisher not asking for password anymore

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Assuming that you are using FTP uploading, then during the process if the
Log On As window does not automatically display or you get an error,
immediately go to File >Login As to open the FTP login prompt.

If you are using HTTP uploading protocol, or have *upgraded* to IE7, then
post back. IE7 does not support FTP uploading as it did...

When I try to publish to the web, publisher (2003) goes through the
motions
of saving but then I get the message that it cannot save, check URL or
network connection and try again. Publisher is not asking me for my
password
anymore when I try to publish or when I am uploading files to the index
folder under 'My Network Connections'. Does anyone have any idea why this
might be happening? I have been updating my website for several years and
occassionally automatic anti-viral updates seem to mess up my settings.
Is
it possible the problem is with my server or is this more likely my
computer?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
