If it's not too much trouble, can you please paste a link in reply to me?.
Your site is quite expansive and I am not finding what you want me to read
and work on.

On our site, in my "2000" section, there is an article on the nav bar. It
explains how to drop it when it's out of whack and regenerate it. Try that.
The more you tamper with one instance of it on "a" page, the more damage you
can cause.

Well, I am still having huge problems with getting xxxpage.html rather
than
index_files/Page266.html when I hover over a hyperlink in the navigation.
I
did do a copy of the navigation bar from another page and pasted it onto
that
page 2, but it still shows wrong with just the "pagexxx.html"
Am I missing some step in this? If I were to just redesign a navigation
bar
which matched the one I have on, and reset all hyperlinks, would that
work?

"index_files" is the sub-folder
all pages and image files are in that folder with one exception- only the
home page (index.htm) is outside that folder.
go to one of the other pages and copy the nav bar, then go to your pg 2
and
delete the current one and then paste the one that's in your copy
clipboard
in it's place.

Good advice there, David. Went through your FAQS and I have a question
about
the subfolder. I did upload from MS Pub, not from my host. Where is
this
elusive subfolder? And will it contain the navigation hyperlinks?
I think the most important tip is to just look at the bar when you
hover
over a navigation. Did that on all the pages for the navigation bar,
and
found that on pg2, About Us(
http://kypets.com/index_files/Page266.html )
every other page navigation link shows as just "pagexxx.html" in the
bottom
bar. Navigation links on every other page display as " . . .
/index_files/pageXXXX.html".
What does this ALL say to you?

Read thru the FAQ at
http://www.publishermvps.com/WebDesign/FAQ/tabid/30/Default.aspx - for
all
the common link problems. Having poked around your site I didn't find
any
bad
link(s) but I suspect you may have a few of the link issues I cover on
the
FAQ. Likely those hitting a bad link(s) are finding the same one(s).
Which I
just didn't happen to find. One of the most obvious things you can see
right
there in the browser status bar (gray bar at bottom), watch the link
URL's as
you hover over the menu. On some pages, on some links, you'll see some
links
are "pageXXXX.html", while sometimes the links are
"/index_files/pageXXXX.html". Sometimes you can have the nav bars so
screwed
up that it's best to just delete them and regenerate them. Properly.

I published this MS Pub 2003 website and have had half the visitors
say
that the hyperlinks in the navigation bar (both right and bottom)
are
not working. Nothing happens. However, the othe hyperlinks on the
About
Us page are working for them. Site is http://www.kypets.com/
and I really need help solving this. I don't know if it is
scripting,
the fpse, peoples browsers or browser settings, that I uploaded it
to
the cpanel file mgr and not ftp, or just something I did when I
created
it. I never had a problem in web preview, and I still have no
problem
viewing it online. I did put hotspots around the items in the
navigation bar, removed that to see if that was it, and now just
have
the text hyperlinked in the menus. Help!!
