It is not a matter of more research, it is a matter of reading the
directions and understanding the basics of building a website with
publisher, Publish to the Web to produce the web pages which will consist of
an index.htm file and an index_files folder, and directing those to your
computer where you can find them, downloading and installing a free and easy
to use program (filezilla), and uploading your files. Go back and read all
the article at:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher/HA100947601033.aspx
and spend sometime understanding the work flow, and then instead of
following the directions there about FTP uploading, use filezilla. It isn't
that hard...and once you figure it out, it won't take that much time.

If you can't or won't invest any more time, then yes, go ahead and hire
someone to design, build, post, manage your site.

got a little more complicated with Vista and IE7. FTP is different than
with IE6 or XP.

You found the best reference and instructions for FTP, and if studied
and
followed carefully, they should work. However, personally I would
recommend that if you choose to use FTP uploading then consider
downloading and installing
the free FTP client FileZilla:
http://filezilla-project.org/ It is likely to be easier for you. Take
the
time to also download the excellent documentation and read it.

My very first website and attempt to publish.

I created a multi page website using Publisher 2007. Running Vista.
All went well until I attempted to upload.

I would appreciate any help and assistance.

I followed the instructions located Publish a Web site by using FTP,

A file did upload successfully to my ftp, but the file is a Publisher
file, not a htlm file. This being my very first website design and

When I chose publish to web, save to my harddrive, instead of saving
the file as a single html file, it save 40+ individual files, JPEG,
EMZ, Graphic Interchange Format Imgae, etc.

Obviously I am doing something completely wrong. I've read, looked at
FAQ's, contacted Go Daddy, who told me I needed to get support from
Microsoft.

Please help me upload the 2007 Publisher website I've created to my
website,

Since I'm without the talent and spare time to do anymore research,
I'd be willing to pay someone to get my website up and running. I've
uploaded the index.htm file to my ftp, but still no website.
