Re: password protection

Mr. Joe,

As David states in a post down the aisle, you really don't need to pose the same question over and over and over, in every thread.

You need to do a Google search for Password Protection or something similar. There are several snippets you can cut and paste to an html code fragment and then add to your page. A good place to start is http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ AFAIK, though, most of the scripts there do not assign a different password for each user, but a general password.

If your ISP offers CPanel, it has an option to password protect a folder. (Plesk probably does also.) The downside is you will have to assign a different password for each user - which could take up a significant amount of time.

I believe CoffeeCup offers a program that does what you are looking for, but it is not free. Probably about $35 or so.
