Re: Working with Web page builder in MS publisher

#1 Which version of Publisher?

#2 You are probably using special formatting in your list that is not
translating to html. There are things you can do in a print formatted
publication that you can't do in a web publication...they are different
mediums. You just design around those differences when you build a website.

You can't use word wrap around an image, you can't use indents, paragraph
formatting, line spacing, bulleted lists are problematic and you really
should use one of the web friendly fonts only, and, and, and... in a web
page. The list is long...but then there are things you can do in a web page
that you can't do in print. Animated GIFs look a whole lot better on line,
that in print...;-)

To spot what you might be doing wrong, reference this article: Tips and
troubleshooting for sending a publication page as an e-mail message:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher/HP010390591033.aspx?pid=CH062524821033
Pay particular attention to the "Formatting in E-mail Messages" section. The
list MSFT offers for email formatting, also generally applies to web pages
as they are both talking about converting a print document into html. This
is the best summary for both that I have found.

If you figure out what you are doing wrong, post the details and perhaps one
of us can offer you a good workaround.

I am creating a web site in MS publisher and am running into a few
problems.
Any suggestions or how to fix these problems would be apprieciated.
#1- I moved a page on the page number bar. I also changed the page name.
However, when I preview the website and click on that page another page
comes
up and it still appears in the position it was first in. How do I fix it
so
that the page can stay where it is and be able to click on that bar.
#2- On the working copy my list of names are all lined up and looks
great.
When previewing the website the list of names is all over the page. What
to
do??
