The only reason I colored the text boxes in the first place was because when
I made them into a hyperlink....they turned white and you could not see them.


That will present another problem when it comes to the map buttons. By any
chance is there a way to change the color of the font on the hyperlinks?

Publisher 2003 produces two sets of html code. One is designed for IE and
the other code for all other browsers. When you add a fill color to a text
box with a hyperlink in it, for some reason Publisher produces an image of
that text box for other browsers, which kills the hyperlink. If you remove
the fill color, the link will work.

In general you will have to avoid using a fill color in any text box that
has a hyperlink. Now, if you are really invested in your menu design, then
there is a workaround. Open your Publisher document. Copy one of your menu
buttons, and then Edit > Paste Special as a picture. Then select the newly
created picture and insert your hyperlink into that picture. Do the same for
each button, copy and paste to your other pages, and those links will work
in IE and FF. Otherwise, use other icons, images or plain text boxes to
build a new menu.

well, the text boxes with the links in it are the way to move around in my
website....if I remove the link that it is filled with.....the website is
useless. Still not sure what to do....I used the hyperlink in these
boxes.

I would suggest that you download and install FF. It is not a big
download,
and you don't have to use it as your default browser, but then it will be
available for testing. After you remove the fill from the text boxes that
have the links, Publish to the Web and direct the html output to a folder
on
your desktop. Open FF, File > Open and find the index.htm file on your
desktop and open. If you can get a site to work pretty well in IE and FF,
you have covered most viewers...
