Re: tried everything- cannot publish to web

Unfortunately it is very hard to impossible for us to tell you what you are
doing wrong, as we aren't sitting at your computer. It can be something as
simple as a misspelled word, using upper case vs. lower case, not writing
the path to the FTP server correctly, not disabling both the Windows
firewall, and/or a third party firewall included in a antivirus suite, or a
problem at the server side, or perhaps one of those Microsoft patches that
fix one problem only to create another, or, or... You just have to keep
looking at the instructions from Yahoo about how to upload your site, and
the articles until you spot what you are doing wrong. Have you asked support
at Yahoo for help, or looked at their FAQs or other support documents for
some insight?

Alternatively, there is usually instructions by the webhost that tell you
how to use their control panel to upload your files. Perhaps you can Publish
to the Web and direct the HTML output to your computer, and then use the
control panel method to upload those files.

Sorry I can't be of more help...

Thanks very much for your reply. I have previously read the article you
referenced in your response. Additional information---

I follow the directions exactly using the correct password, domain name,
user name as provided by yahoo small business. I have a domain name and
bought web hosting through Yahoo.

After following the directions, the error message comes up
"cannot connect to the FTP server on the computer names
ftp.yogabydina.com"
When I click on the link for more info, it states something about a
firewall
and FTP proxy settings. I changed the proxy settings to passive and
disabled
the firewall. It still will not work.

I have tried all the troubleshooting and your archived messages on this
subject but am still having problems.

If I can provide additional details, I would be glad to.

Thanks very much...

I have tried troubleshooting and reviewed the answers in the discussion
group. Either I am just not getting it or there is another issue. Hope
someone can help...

I am using Publisher 2003
Trying to publish my website.
I bought the domain and web hosting. All is clear to proceed.
File, Publish to the Web, I enter the domain name and it says
Connecting
to
Web Server. The next message is "cannot find..."

What am I doing wrong?
