Who is your host by the way? What is your URL?

Kathleen,

Here are a couple quick suggestions. Since you are going through your work
network, check with your IT person about the company having a firewall
that
may be blocking you. And secondly, contact your host and tell them of your
read only problem and ask them to modify permission on the site folder.

If those two suggestions don't get you anywhere, determine if your host
support FrontPage extensions, which you would need for HTTP uploading
protocol. And have you read through your host's instructions on how to
upload your site, and tried it that way?

I have went through the process outlined in the article from Mary one
more
time...here is where it stands:
I deleted the FTP site,
entered the FTP site, username & password
went to Publish to web,
click on drop down to FTP site,
click on URL and click on open,
click on save,
hourglass shows up for about 5 minutes,
error message now shows:
cannot save 'ftp//filename/index.htm' The folder is marked read only

I am not prompted for the server login.
I am using SpySweeper as my antivirus along with America Online 9.0
Security
Edition

I have created a website using publisher 2003. When publishing to
website I
created the FTP site given to me by my server including username and
password. I continue to get an error message:
This error message is usually associated with an attempt to access an
FTP
web sote through a fire wall/proxy server and the proxy settings are
not
set
correctly to gain access.

I have confirmed the FTP, username, password with the server, I have
made
sure that there are no active firewalls on my computer, I have deleted
the
FTP and reinstalled it, I have also followed the troubleshooting
suggested by
Mary Sauer. I am not very knowledgeable in this area and are
continued
to be
frustrated. Please Help!

I am accessing at work through a wireless network that the office has
set
up. My host is not very helpful in assisting with my trouble. He
does
not
use publisher, therefor does not know what the problem is?

I tried each step of Mary's referenced troubleshooting?

Kathleen

thanks,
Kathleen
