I have designed a new website with Publisher 2003. I tried to 'Publish to the Web' FTP sites, with local ISP person helping; we eventually gave up as the dialogue box would not accept the address which was entered;
So we made a folder with the website in filtered html, and moved it to the ISP via SmartFTP.
The website apparently works well on the 'Firefox' browser. However, on Explorer, many of the graphics are not showing; there is some superimposition of 'boxes' over others; and there is a lot of text moving around when one first clicks on a page, seemingly until it aligns itself. The webpage itself seems to have accumulated more than 2 Mb in the transition to the server.
I have looked fairly extensively in Help for this; the only thing I can find is that the server should have the 'most recent Front Page server extensions'. The tech at my ISP indicates that since this is only a partially hosted site, that the most recent extensions are not installed--only with the websites that they actually host. However, he questions--if indeed I obtained a fully hosted site--whether this would cure the problem. He felt the best solution might be to toss the Publisher and get someone to do it html for me.
