Re: Error 0x800a13bd when connecting to server

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

HAHAHA Your a funny guy. Especially since that newsgroup routes you right
back to this site.

I fixed my issue. The trick is that you have to log in using the port that
the web site is setup on (e.g. for my system it was setup on port 10080) and
then add the "/PWA" after. Then you have to log in using the account that
initially setup the Project server and within the Project client and setup
other users from there. You can't setup users to access the site via the web
access site, you HAVE to do it through the Project client.

I'm not sure I've ever seen such crappy programming, even from Microsoft.
It's amazing how complicated they've made this product. It used to be pretty
straight forward, but now it's a cluster f**k.

I have installed Project 2007 and am trying to connect for the first
time to a Project 2007 server and get "Client:An unanticipated error
occurred during the processing of this request (ID=0x800a13bd). I
see this normally happens when connecting a 2007 client to a 2003
server, but I know for a fact that both client and server versions
are 2007 (I know because I installed them both). Any ideas of what
could be wrong?
