Jan,
Thank you. But if RL was the soln, I would have solved it by now. This is
what happens when I try to level them. Say task1 is from 1/1 to 1/3. Task 2
is from 1/2 to 1/5. When you try to vele it, MS says it cannot level as it
has conflict.
I tried assigning priorities but it doesnot help with levelling either.
This is what I want to accomplish. BA-Prepare for discovery meetings. Say 40
hrs. Start on 1/1 and go on. In between I may have to schedule client meeting
for 8 hrs say on 1/4. If I create a task with constraint on 1/4, then task 1
should automatically realise and fix the end date as 1/8 (1/6, 1,7 being
weekends). Is this something I can accomplish in MSP? If so how?
Thanks for your response. Look forward for your valuable help.

Hi,.
Resource Leveling answers both questions.
Look up the help; it's a bit too large to explain here.

hi,
I am managing a complex program and need help in resource allocation.
My Business analyst works on BA activities let us say for 3 days and hands
over to my tech architect. My tech architect may need about 10 days while
my
BA starts working on next package. There has to be a meeting between the
architect, BA and clients once my arhcitect is ready. my challenge is, how
do
I allocate the BA in split form? If I say my BA will work on package1 from
day1 to day 3 and on package 2 from day 4 to day20. If the meeting with
client happens on day 18, then my BA will be 200% loaded which is
impractical. So need help to address this.
Also, is there a way, where project assigns resources only for 8hrs, and
if
the resource already has 8hrs of work with higher priority will
automatically
assign the work to next day?
