Not sure on the formula, as this came from another person - any idea where
that formula would be located at?

Hello Charles,
Thanks for the additional information. The field titled "Projected or
Actual Start Date" appears to be a custom field with a formula. Could you
please give some details about:
(a) what is the field name that has been customized? (i.e. Text1, Date1)
(b) please copy and paste the formula in the field into your reply.
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Here's a little more clarification:
The error is occurring in the "Projected or Actual Start Date" column -
on
the orginal workstation, where for each entry that date has been
modified,
those dates show OK. On any other machine that you open it up to, the
"Projected or Actual Start Date" column defaults back to the
Project>Project
Information, Start Date field (which in this case is a default of
01/01/02).
So, I'm not thinking that it's corrupt - just in how those values had
gotten
changed, and now they somehow keep defaulting back.

Thanks Charles. As it is occurring with just one project file, my
*guess* would be that there is some sort of mild corruption happening
with the file. I have had folks send me file that were acting oddly
only to have them open without incident on my machine.
If you'd like to send me the odd file, I'll take a look and see if I see
anything odd or unusual. I'd can't guarantee I'll find the answer, but
I'd be happy to take a look if you'd like.
My email address:

remove spaces and replace AT with @ and DOT with periods.
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Ms Project 2003 - 11.2.2005.1801.15 - SP2 - these are valid software
copies, currently occuring on just this one project file.

Thanks for the update Charles. What versions of Project are
installed -- what service pack levels. Are all of the copies of the
software activated? Is this occurring on all project files or just
one?
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Checking the setting - it is currently set to Automatic.

Hi Charles,
Assuming there are links (predecessors and successors in the project
file):
Check the "non-performing" computers -- is calculation set to
manual? See Tools > Options, Calculation tab. Enable (check)
automatic.
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I have a weird Project issue....
I have a Project plan that multiple users are using - it is not
published to a project server, has no leveling - it is a basic mpp
posted onto a share drive. When one user opens the project plan
file, all the dates are correct. When any other user opens it, they
all see incorrect dates, ie, most of the dates defaults to a
defualt start plan date. Anyone have any ideas what to check?
