Re: When opening saved file, colors in bar go back to original

Thanks Julie,

Let me be more specific:

Colors of bars have been changed manually, by clicking each individual bar
and changing the color based on specific criteria. No formulas have been
used, just manually double clicking each bar and changing the color. Once
that is done, the file is saved and closed. But once I reopen the file, I am
able to see the original formatted bar colors for a quick second, but they
all suddenly change to light blue (which I think is the standard, since once
I select all the columns and bars and go to format >bar styles, that color
comes up)..strange though what is going on...do you think there is a conflict
with any other software?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Leon,

Thanks for the additional information that you are using Project 2007
trial version. I haven't seen what you are reporting.

You note that you have modified the bars based upon "resources and
responsibilities".

Did you modify individual bars (Format > Bar) or types of bars (Format >
Bar styles)?

Did you use custom fields to calculate information (Flag fields)? If so,
please let us know which fields and how you are using them -- formulas
etc.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Leon,

We need a bit more information about what your set up is.

Are you using Project Server?

What release of Project are you using?

What service pack do you have applied (check Help > About Microsoft
Office Project).

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I have changed colors (navy blue, green, maroon, yellow, etc.) on
the
bars in
the Gantt Chart (depending on resources, responsibilities, etc.).
Once
I
reopen the file a day or so later, all the colors in the bar go
back
to a
light blue. I can actually see the original colors for half a
second,
and
they just suddenly go all to light blue. Is this a bug, and if so,
is
there a
fix?

Thanks!
