We are having a problem with local printers being able to plot Microsoft Project files because of their extension. Is there any way to convert the files to a PDF format and NOT LOSE the data??

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Yes, there is a way, but that probably not your question.

I can't think of what you mean when you say "their extension."

Printers should work with Project. If they don't appear to work, then it's likely either the printer driver is buggy (for that contact the printer vendor or their web site), or the user isn't doing it right (for that review how to do it in the help files, FAQ's available on the MVP page, etc.).

A separate issue is creating PDF files. That done by installing 3rd party software (from Adobe or other vendor ... some you pay for and others are free), to which you normally "print" to a file to create the PDF.

If the problem is that you are using Project incorrectly, then whether you print to a printer or print to PDF will not fix the problem.
