Yes, we're all co-mingled.
Do you have a URL for the newer technology release, I've been searching
since my last post ....

Hi Jim,

Keep us posted. I haven't seen any other comments on the feedback for
Project 2007 website about the error, but it could be no one has posted
it yet.

Just a quick question, is Project 2007 installed on the same machine as
2003? It may be that 2007 "broke" 2003 if they are installed on the
same OS.

Yes, my problem is pretty much how you describe it. P2007 (File/Save
As...)
in 2000-2003 format. The file in 2000-2003 format opens fine in 2007
but
cannot be opened in 2003. I see from your comment that you have been
successful in this endeavor.

I tried it with a second file, same results. I'll try the new version
of
2007 and see if that helps.

Hi Jim,

I'm not sure I follow what you have done. Specifically your comment
about the "exported file."

In Project 2007 Beta 2 there is an option to save a Project 2007 as
2000-2003 Project format.

I have been able to save a file created in Project 2007 as a
2000-2003
format and open it without difficulty in Project 2003. I have also
been
able to open a project file created in Project 2003 in Project 2007
work
on it, save it as 2000-2003 format and re-open in Project 2003.

I am using Project 2003 Professional (SP-2) and Project 2007 Beta2
with
the Technical Refresh that was released recently. However, my Project
2007 install is to a Virtual PC on the same computer, so I am not
running the two different versions under the same operating system --
each is installed in its own version of Windows XP.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I am attempting to save a file from 2007 format back to 2000-2003
format.
When I go to open the exported file using Project Standard 2003, I
receive a
message that I must download a converter. There does not appear to
be
a
2007-2003 coverter on the resultant page that opens.

If I try to continue the process, I get an error message and
Project
restarts to Project 2007.

Any suggestions? I need to distribute this file to 2003 users.
Are
others
having "downgraded version" problems?

Thanks
Jim
