Hi Rod,
Thanks for the info. The SQL Server database was initially created based on
Project 2003 so the tables already exist and are not the issue.
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

When saving your first Project 2003 schedule back to the database, Project
2003 will need to update a number of tables and even add one or two tables
to update the structure for 2003. If your login does not have permissions
to do this, then that may cause the errors. Try logging on as a user that
has owner permissions for the project database and then open then save a
project. That should update the database structure and from then all users
should be fine.

Hi,
We have been using Project 2002 standard and have just upgraded to
Project Professional 2003. All of our project data is stored in a SQL
Server database. We simply open projects from and save to the SQL Server
database. We also use a single resource pool that is linked to all
projects.
This has been working for some time and no problem.
Now that we have upgraded to Project 2003 professional we are unable to
Save projects that have been created with Project 2002. Microsoft Project
comes up with the following error when the Save button is pressed:
An unexpected error occurred during command execution.
Try the following:
- Verify that all argument names and values are correct and are of the
correct type
- You may have run out of memory. To free up available memory, close
programs, projects, or windows that you aren't using.
If we create and save projects using Project 2003 then no problem.
It is my understanding that Project 2003 upgrades any project that has
been created with Project 2002 when the project is saved.
The Resource Pool that is linked to the Sharer, and is opened
automatically when the Sharer project is opened, has been created and
saved with Project 2003.
Can someone please help with this. We are not sure what to do next.
Also is it possible that projects that have been opened and saved with
Project 2003 can still be opened and saved with Project 2002? i.e. we
have a mix of Project versions in the organisation.
Thanks,
Steve.
