Take a look at the Tracking Table in the Gantt chart view - if you add columns for the Baseline Start and Baseline Finish what do you need that's not listed there? Or perhaps a custom table showing Base and Actual starts and finishes. (The Actual fileds are blank for work that has not yet been done.) Or a thrid option is to substitute the Actual Start and Actual Finish fields for the plain Start and Finish fields in a copy of the variance table.
BTW, the stock variance report is not showing "actual future dates." It's showing Actual Dates for work that has been done and *forecast* dates for work that has not been done.

Steve, I agree. However, MS Project 2003 produces the actual future dates in
the variance report. Do you know of a report that will give me only the
actual dates that have passed? Your comment does not answer my question. I
want to be able to produce a report that shows the base line start and finish
dates and the actual dates that have transpired for all task but leave the
actual dates that have not transpired blank. Any help you can provide will
be appreciated.

How can there be "actual future dates?" An actual date is one that has
actually transpired and unless you have a time machine that cannot be in the
future. Things that have happened are actuals. Things that haven't
happened are forecasts.
